Investigation on the KAP of Tuberculosis Prevention and Treatment Among Students in a University in Beijing
Objective To understand the status of KAP of tuberculosis prevention and treatment among students in a university in Beijing,and to provide a reference for health education on tuberculosis prevention and control in universities.Methods A convenient sampling method was used to conduct a questionnaire survey on 1189 college students from a university in Beijing.Results The overall positive response rate of tuberculosis prevention and treatment among college students in this school was 72%.Logistic regression analysis showed that female,junior,students with tuberculosis patient contact history,qualified prevention and treatment knowledge and attitude had a higher pass rate of tuberculosis prevention and treatment positive behavior(P<0.05).The proportion of students who hope to acquire knowledge on tuberculosis prevention and treatment through on-site lectures was16.23%,while only 4.63%of college students mainly acquired knowledge on tuberculosis prevention and treatment through on-site lectures.Conclusion The overall positive response rate of tuberculosis prevention and treatment among college students is not ideal;gender,grade,contact history of tuberculosis patients,qualified prevention and control knowledge and attitude are the main influencing factors of tuberculosis prevention and control behavior of college students;tuberculosis health education should be conducted based on the actual needs of students.
