Objective To understand the status of occupational exposure to blood-borne infectious diseases among nurses in county-level public hospitals in Guoyang County and its influencing factors,to provide the basis for formulating the intervention measures of this population.Methods A questionnaire survey on occupational exposure was conducted among nursing staff in county-level public hospitals in Guoyang County.Results Among 655 nurses,20.61%had occupational exposure to blood-borne infectious diseases,and 6.11%had occupational exposure to blood-borne infectious diseases in the last year.Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that:subjects with bachelor degree or above,longer working years,previous cut,mucous membrane exposure,occupational exposure to blood-borne infectious diseases was more likely to occur during their career;nurses in the operating room,and in the department of infectious diseases and the department of internal medicine were more likely to have occupational exposure to blood-borne infectious diseases than those in other departments.Conclusion The risk of occupational exposure to blood-borne infectious diseases among nursing staff in Guoyang County county-level public hospitals is high.Hospitals should continue to improve the prevention and control of nosocomial infection and strengthen the standardization of nursing procedures,to standardize nursing work and further reduce the risk of occupational exposure to blood-borne infectious diseases among nursing staff.
