Survey on Myopia Status and Influencing Factors of Primary and Secondary School Students in Jing'an District of Shanghai in 2022
Objective To understand the current situation of myopia among primary and secondary school students in Jing'an District of Shanghai,analyze the influencing factors of myopia among primary and secondary school students,and provide a basis for carrying out myopia prevention and control work.Methods Using stratified cluster sampling method,2 primary schools,2 junior high schools,and 2 high schools in Jing'an District were selected for myopia screening and questionnaire survey.Results The overall myopia rate among primary and secondary school students in Jing'an District in 2022 was 64.87%,with myopia rates of 38.26%,80.11%,and 87.11%for primary,middle,and high school students,respectively.The univariate results showed that weekly outdoor activity time,daily average sleep time,and BMI index were associated with myopia.The results of the XGBoost model showed that weekly outdoor activity time,weekly homework completion time,BMI index,and average daily sleep time had a significant impact on the final myopia.Conclusion The incidence of myopia among primary and secondary school students in Jing'an District is at a relatively high level.Efforts should be made to effectively reduce academic burden,increase outdoor activities,and carry out comprehensive prevention and control measures to control the development of myopia.
