Analysis of Malnutrition and Its Influencing Factors Among Children Aged 1-4 Years in Xuchang City
Objective To investigate the malnutrition status and related factors of preschool children in Xuchang medical institutions.Methods From July 2020 to July 2023,2 000 children aged 1-4 years in a hospital in Xuchang were selected for physical development assessment and questionnaire survey by cross-sectional survey and random cluster sampling.Results In this study,the incidence of malnutrition in children aged 1-4 years was 3.45%.Logistic regression analysis showed that daily sleep time≤10 hours,bad eating habits and caregivers'negative emotions were the risk factors of malnutrition in children,and the reasonable addition of complementary foods and breastfeeding were the protective factors of malnutrition in children(P<0.05).Conclusion Malnutrition in children is mainly related to feeding methods,daily sleep time,reasonable addition of complementary foods,bad eating habits,negative emotions of caregivers and other factors.It is suggested to strengthen nutrition health education and dietary management to reduce the incidence of malnutrition in children.
