Objective To understand the chronic disease literacy level of male drug abuse patients,analyze the influencing factors,and provide the reference for carrying out targeted health education activities.Methods Using cluster random sampling method,a questionnaire survey and data analysis were conducted among male drug abuse patients in Gongchen Isolation Rehabilitation Center in Zhejiang Province.Results The proportion of the respondents who had chronic diseases was 40.3%.The overall chronic disease literacy level was 8.3%,and the chronic disease prevention and control knowledge,belief,behavior and skill literacy levels were 1.8%,58.7%and 33.0%,respectively.There were significant differences in the overall chronic disease literacy of male drug abuse patients with different education levels(χ2=23.395,P<0.05).Conclusion The chronic disease literacy level of male drug abuse patients is relatively low.Those with low education level should be the focus of attention;strategies such as peer education and reading book education can be used to stimulate and improve their chronic disease health literacy.
