Effect and surface electromyography analysis of sinew needling method combined with Yishen Zhuanggu Decoction in the treatment of knee os-teoarthritis
Objective To explore the effect and surface electromyography(sEMG)analysis of sinew needling method com-bined with Yishen Zhuanggu Fang in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis(KOA).Methods A total of 74 KOA patients were admitted to Beijing Gulou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from March 2022 to March 2023 as research subjects,and divided into observation group(37 cases)and control group(37 cases)according to the random number table method.The control group was treated with Yishen Zhuanggu Decoction,the observation group was treated with sinew needling method on the basis of the control group.The traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome scores,knee function(Lysholm scores),visual analogue scale(VAS)and sEMG of the two groups before and after treatment were compared.Results After treatment,the scores of TCM syndrome in the observation group was lower than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).After treatment,the VAS scores of observation group was lower than control group,Lysholm scores was higher than control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).After treatment,the Mean of extension in the observation group was higher than that in the control group,and the co-contraction ratio was lower than that in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion Sinew needling method combined with Yishen Zhuanggu Decoction can relieve the TCM syndrome scores of patients with KOA,reduce the degree of pain,improve the function of knee joint,and improve the sEMG index of patients,which is worth popularizing.
