Exploration and practice of clinical pharmacists participating in pharma-ceutical care for children with diabetes,hyperthyroidism
Objective To improve the medication adherence of children's out-patients,and explore the content of clinical pharmacists'participation in the service mode of children with diabetes and hyperthyroidism.Methods Fifty-seven children with diabetes and hyperthyroidism treated in the outpatient department of Zhenjiang First People's Hospital from December 2020 to November 2022 were selected as the study objects.Clinical pharmacists conducted pharmaceutical care for 6 months,recorded and analyzed drug-related problems(DRPs),developed personal medication records,conducted medication education,and compared medication compliance before and after intervention.Results A total of 261 DRPs were treated,of which the most was"treatment safety",accounting for 56.32%,followed by"treatment effect",accounting for 22.61%.Make 81 personal drug record forms.Diabetic children mainly use Human Insulin Injection,Protamine Recombinant Human Insulin Injection,hyperthyroidism children mainly use Methimazole Tablets.The mean medication compliance of children before intervention was(6.67±1.23)points,and the mean medication compliance of children after intervention was(7.12± 0.73)points,with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion The situation of DRPs in children with diabetes and hyper-thyroidism is complex,and it is necessary to enhance medication management for children.Pharmaceutical care provided by clinical pharmacists has a positive significance for ensuring the safe use of medications.
