Clinical effect of Xintong Oral Liquid combined with Metoprolol in the treatment of senile chronic heart failure
Objective To investigate the efficacy and safety of Xintong Oral Liquid combined with Metoprolol in the treatment of senile chronic heart failure(CHF).Methods A total of 72 elderly patients with CHF admitted to Jingdezhen NO.1 People's Hospital from June to November 2022 were selected as the research objects,and they were divided into combination group(n=36)and regular group(n=36)according to random number table method.At the same time of diuresis,cardiotonic and active treatment of the primary disease,the regular group was given Metoprolol oral treatment,and the combination group was supplemented with Xintong Oral Liquid combined treatment on the basis of Metoprolol.After 4 weeks of continuous treatment,the efficacy of the two groups was compared.The changes of traditional Chinese Medicine syndrome score,heart function and inflammation index were compared between the two groups before and after treatment,and the drug safety was compared between the two groups during treatment.Results The total effective rate of combination group was higher than that of regular group,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Before treatment,there were no significant differences in the scores of traditional Chinese Medicine primary and ssecondary syndrome between the two groups(P＞0.05).After treatment,the scores of primary and secondary syndrome of traditional Chinese Medicine in the two groups were lower than those before treatment,and the scores of primary and secondary syndrome in the combination group were lower than those in the regular group,with statistical significances(P＜0.05).Before treatment,there were no significant differences in left ventricular ejection fraction,left ventricular end-diastolic diameter,output per distraction and stroke output between two groups(P＞0.05).After treatment,left ventricular ejection fraction,output per distraction and stroke output in two groups were higher than those before treatment,and left ventricular end-diastolic diameters in two groups were lower than those before treatment,and left ventricular ejection fraction,output per distraction and stroke output in combination group were higher than those in regular group,and left ventricular end-diastolic diameter was lower than that in regular group,with statistical significances(P＜0.05).Before treatment,there were no significant differences in the levels of interleukin-6,tumor necrosis factor-α and hypersensitive C-reactive protein between two groups(P＞0.05).After treatment,the levels of interleukin-6,tumor necrosis factor-α and hypersensitive C-reactive protein in two groups were lower than those before treatment,and the levels of indexes in the combination group were lower than those in the regular group,with statistical significances(P＜0.05).There was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P＞0.05).Con-clusion Xintong Oral Liquid combined with Metoprolol is effective in the treatment of CHF in elderly patients,which can help alleviate clinical symptoms,improve cardiac function,and reduce the level of inflammation without increasing the risk of drug side reactions.
