Analysis of the combined use of Dapagliflozin and hypoglycemic drugs
Objective To investigate the age and gender distribution of patients using Dapagliflozin in Liaoning Jinqiu Hospital,as well as the combined use of the drug with other hypoglycemic drugs,so as to provide clinical reference for front-line clinical personnel in selecting the drug.Methods The outpatient prescriptions of Dapagliflozin used in Liaoning Jinqiu Hospital from April 2021 to July 2022 were selected from the Zhonglian Hospital information system(HIS)of Liaon-ing Jinqiu Hospital and analyzed.Excel was used for statistical analysis of patients'age,gender,oral Dapagliflozin and Da-pagliflozin combined with other hypoglycemic drugs.Results Among the prescriptions of Dapagliflozin for type 2 diabetes patients in Jinqiu Hospital of Liaoning Province,714 prescriptions(71.4％)were for male patients and 286 prescriptions(28.6％)were for female patients.Male patients were more than female patients.The drug has the highest usage rate in the age group of 60-74,with 478 outpatient prescriptions(47.8％).Among the 600 prescriptions of Dapagliflozin in combination with other oral hypoglycemic drugs,Dapagliflozin alone accounted for 272 prescriptions(45.33％),followed by 238 prescrip-tions(39.67％)in combination with other oral hypoglycemic drugs,of which 98 prescriptions(41.18％)were in combination with Biguanide,and fewer were in combination with other two or more oral hypoglycemic drugs.Among the 400 prescriptions of Dapagliflozin in combination with insulin,352 prescriptions(88％)were used in combination with medium and long-act-ing insulin,52 prescriptions(13％)were used in combination with premixed insulin and medium and ultra short acting in-sulin.Conclusion In Jinqiu Hospital of Liaoning Province,the use of Dapagliflozin in combination with other hypoglycemic drugs in the treatment of patients with type 2 diabetes is characterized by the following:Dapagliflozin in combination with medium and long-acting insulin controls blood sugar most,followed by Dapagliflozin alone.If it needs to be used in combi-nation with other oral hypoglycemic drugs,it is often used in combination with one oral hypoglycemic drug,and Metformin is the most commonly used in combination.
