Application effect of 6S management mode in improving the qualified rate of pretreatment of foreign instruments in disinfection supply center
Objective To explore the effectiveness of adopting a 6S management model in disinfection supply centers(CSSD).Methods A total of 1 886 foreign medical devices collected in Yichun People's Hospital from January to December 2021 were selected as the control group, and 1 886 foreign medical devices collected from January to December 2022 were selected as the observation group. The control group adopted a conventional management mode, while the observation group adopted a 6S management mode. The qualification rate of pretreatment, incidence of hospital infection, work quality, and satisfaction of medical staff in each department were compared between the two groups. Results The incidence of nosocomial infection in the observation group was 0.21%(4/1 886),lower than that in the control group 0.64%(12/1 886),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The qualified rate of pretreatment was 99.58%(1 878/1 886),higher than that of con-trol group 98.83%(1 864/1 886),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The scores of risk prevention a-bility,safety identification ability, and service awareness in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The satisfaction scores of medical staff in the observation group were higher than those in the control group in terms of disinfection and sterilization effect, packaging effect, service attitude, professional technology, device delivery speed, device completeness, sterile item quality, and service timeliness, with statistical significances(P<0.05).Conclusion The 6S management model can improve the qualification rate of CSSD external device pretreatment, effectively reduce the incidence of hospital infection, improve the quality of nursing work, and thus obtain higher satisfaction from medical staff.
