Effect of advance hospice integrated care plan on life meaning and quality of life of family members of patients with advanced cancer
Objective To observe the effects of advance hospice integrated care plan on the life meaning and quality of life of family members of patients with advanced cancer.Methods A total of 60 patients with advanced cancer admitted to de-partment of oncology of the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University,from January 2022 to January 2023 were se-lected as the study subjects and were divided into control group(30 cases)and treatment group(30 cases)according to the random number table method.The control group was given conventional method for nursing,and the treatment group was nursed with advance hospice integrated care plan on the basis of the control group.Cancer-related fatigue,life meaning,quality of life of family members and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups.Results After intervention,the scores of fatigue,vitality,attention,energy and activities of daily living and total score of cancer-related fatigue in treat-ment group were lower than those in control group,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).After intervention,the scores of presence of sense of life meaning and seeking sense of life meaning and total score of life meaning in treatment group were higher than those in control group,with statistically significant differences(P＜0.05).After intervention,the scores of physical activity,energy level,sleep,social isolation and emotional response and total score of Nottingham health questionnaire(NHP)of family members in treatment group were lower thanthose in control group,with statistically signifi-cant differences(P＜0.05).After intervention,the nursing satisfaction of patients and their family members was higher in treatment group than that in control group,with a statistically significant difference(P＜0.05).Conclusion Advance hospice integrated care plan can improve the life meaning and quality of life of family members of patients with advanced cancer.
