Effect of integrated pain management on rapid rehabilitation of patients after orthopedic surgery
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of integrated pain management in accelerating surgical rehabilitation of orthopaedic patients at grade Ⅱ and above undergoing surgery. Methods A total of 62 patients undergoing surgery at grade Ⅱ and above admitted to the Department of Orthopedics of Yingtan City People's Hospital from January to December 2022 were selected as the research objects, and they were divided into control group and experimental group according to random number table method, with 31 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional pain nursing methods, intervened when the patients were in pain and didn't intervene when they were not in pain. The experimental group applied integrated pain management method on the basis of conventional pain nursing methods, intervened from the day of admission until discharge, according to the requirements of"comprehensive pain assessment and management norms",applied assessment tools to evaluate patients'pain, and jointly discussed pain control measures with doctors. The scores of anxiety and depression, the mean values of pain scores before surgery, the day of surgery, the first day and second day after surgery, first time out of bed and hospital stay were observed. Results The average scores of anxiety, depression and pain in experimental group were lower than those in control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).First time out of bed and hospital stay in experimental group were shorter than those in control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.001).Conclusion Integrated pain management can change the passive pain management into active management, reduce the pain score, improve the quality of life of patients, shorten the length of hospital stay, and accelerate the rapid surgical recovery.
