Effect of "Zhisanzhen" combined with hyperbaric oxygen on cognitive function and activities of daily living in patients with vascular cognitive impairment after cerebral infarction
Objective To explore the clinical effect of"Zhisanzhen"combined with hyperbaric oxygen on vascular cognitive impairment(VCI)after cerebral infarction.Methods Ninety patients with VCI after cerebral infarction admitted to Pingxiang People's Hospital from May 2021 to May 2023 were selected as the study objects and divided into three groups according to random number table method,with 30 cases in each group.All the three groups were given conventional cerebral infarction treatment,control group 1 was given"Zhisanzhen"treatment,control group 2 was given hyperbaric oxygen treatment,obser-vation group was given"Zhisanzhen"combined with hyperbaric oxygen treatment,lasting 3 courses.The clinical efficacy,cognitive function and daily living ability of the three groups were compared.Results The total effective rate of observation group was higher than control group 1 and control group 2,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.017).After treatment,the scores of mini mental state examination(MMSE)and Montreal cognitive assessment(MoCA)in observation group([28.41±1.23],[28.74±1.32]points)were higher than those in control group 2([24.36±1.58],[25.02±1.29]points)and control group 1([24.42±1.63],[25.08±1.31]points),the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The Barthel index(BI)score of observation group([60.58±5.36]points)was higher than that of control group 2([50.41±5.22]points)and control group 1([50.57±5.25]points)after treatment,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion"Zhisanzhen"combined with hyperbaric oxygen can improve the therapeutic effect of VCI after cerebralinfarc-tion,accelerate the recovery of cognitive function,alleviate oxidative stress injury and vascular endothelial dysfunction,and improve the ability of daily living.
