Observation on the application effect of Chaihu Huaji Decoction combined with transcatheter arterial chemoembolization in palliative treatment of iprimary liver cancer
Objective To explore the efficacy of Chaihu Huaji Decoction combined with transarterial chemoembolization(TACE)in the palliative treatment of primary liver cancer(PLC).Methods A total of 78 PLC patients admitted to the First People's Hospital of Jiujiang,Jiangxi Province from January 2021 to June 2022 were selected as the study subjects. They were divided into a control group(39 cases)and an observation group(39 cases)using random number table method. The control group was treated with TACE,while the observation group was treated with Chaihu Huaji Decoction.Compare the clinical efficacy, traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome score, immune function, quality of life, and adverse reactions between the two groups. Results The total clinical effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no statistically significant differences(P>0.05)in the scores of TCM syndromes, cluster of differentiation(CD)CD3+,CD4+,CD8+,CD4+/CD8+,circulating immune complex(CIC),and quality of life questionnaire core 30(QLQ-C30)of cancer patients between the two groups before treatment. After treatment, the CD3+,CD4+,CD4+/CD8+,and QLQ-C30 scores in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, while the TCM syndrome score,CD8+,and CIC were lower than those in the control group, with statistical significances(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The combination of Chaihu Huaji Decoction and TACE is more effective in palliative treatment of PLC,which is beneficial for improving immune function and quality of life, alleviating clinical symptoms, and has good safety. It is worth promoting.
