Effect of specific electromagnetic spectrum irradiation combined with acupuncture and moxibustion on acute peripheral facial paralysis
Objective To investigate the effect of specific electromagnetic spectrum irradiation combined with acupuncture on acute peripheral facial paralysis. Methods A total of 60 patients with acute peripheral facial palsy treated in Jiangxi Provincial People's Hospital from June 2022 to March 2023 were selected as the research objects, and they were divided into control group(30 cases)and observation group(30 cases)according to random number table method. The control group was treated with oral Western medicine, and the observation group was treated with specific electromagnetic spectrum irradiation combined with acupuncture.Portmann score, clinical efficacy and patients'satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results 3 cases fell off during the course,57 cases were actually completed,28 cases in the control group and 29 cases in the observation group. Before treatment, there was no significant difference in Portmann score between the two groups(P>0.05).After 20 days of treatment, the Portmann scores of two groups was higher than those before treatment, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The Portmann score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate of the observation group was 89.66%(26/29),which was higher than 64.29%(18/28)of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total satisfaction rate of observation group was 96.56%,higher than 71.43%of control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).No serious adverse reactions occurred in two groups. Conclusion Specific electro-magnetic spectrum irradiation combined with acupuncture in the treatment of acute peripheral facial paralysis is effective, can improve patient satisfaction, worthy of clinical promotion.
