Effect comparison of ladder therapy and early intensive insulin therapy for type 2 diabetes
Objective The effects of ladder therapy and early intensive insulin therapy on blood glucose and lipid levels, islet function and the incidence of adverse reactions in type 2 diabetes were compared. Methods A total of 80 patients with type 2 diabetes admitted to the Department of Endocrinology,Liaoning Health Industry Group Iron Coal General Hospital from November 2021 to October 2022 were selected as the study objects, and they were divided into study group(40 cases)and routine group(40 cases)according to random number table method. The routine group received ladder therapy, and the study group received early intensive insulin therapy. The blood glucose level, lipid level, islet function and the incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results There was no significant difference in the total incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).The blood glucose level and blood lipid level of the study group were lower than those of the routine group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The level of HOMA-β in the study group was higher than that in the routine group, and the level of HOMA-IR in the study group was lower than that in the routine group, with statistical significances(P<0.05).Conclusion Early intensive insulin therapy for type 2 diabetes can effectively control the blood glucose level and improve the islet function effectively.
