Posterolateral surgical approach combined with postural changes in inter-nal fixation in patients with trimalleolar fracture
Objective To analyze the therapeutic effect of posterior lateral surgical approach combined with postural changes in internal fixation surgery in patients with trimalleolar fracture. Methods Sixty patients with trimalleolar fracture admitted to Fuzhou First People's Hospital from January to August 2022 were selected as the study objects.According to random number table method, the patients were divided into conventional group(n=30)and combined group(n=30).The conventional group received internal fixation surgery through the traditional approach in the supine position, and the com-bined group received internal fixation surgery through the posterolateral approach combined with changes in body position during surgery. The perioperative indexes, postoperative bone healing time,Biard-Jackson ankle scoring system and postop-erative complications were compared between the two groups. Results The operative time, postoperative bed time and weight-bearing time of patients in the combined group were shorter than those in the conventional group, and the intraoper-ative blood loss was less than that in the conventional group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The postop-erative bone healing time of the combined group was shorter than that of the conventional group, and the excellent rate of Biard-Jackson ankle joint scoring system was higher than that of the conventional group, with statistically significant differ-ences(P<0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications in the combined group was lower than that in the conventional group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The posterolateral surgical approach combined with intraoperative position change for internal fixation can improve the efficiency of surgery and help patients recover quickly, with better postoperative treatment results and high safety, which is worth promoting.
