Application of the continuous nursing model based on information-knowledge-attitude-behavior theory in elderly patients with depression
Objective To explore the effects of continuous nursing model based on information-knowledge-attitude-behavior(IKAP)theory on anxiety and cognitive level of elderly patients with depression.Methods A total of 107 elderly patients with depression admitted to Guizhou Provincial People's Hospital from June 2021 to January 2023 were selected as research objects,and they were divided into control group(54 cases)and IKAP group(53 cases)according to random number table method.The control group received routine nursing intervention,while the IKAP group received continuous nursing mode based on IKAP theory.To explore and compare the anxiety degree,cognitive degree and daily life quality of the two groups after intervention.Results The anxiety degree of IKAP group was less than that of control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The cognitive degree of IKAP group was better than that of control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention,the scores of social function,material life,physical function and psychological function in the two groups were higher than those before intervention,and the scores of social function,material life,physical function and psychological function in the IKAP group were higher than those in the control group,with statistical significances(P<0.05).Conclusion The continuous nursing model based on IKAP theory can effectively improve the anxiety level and cognition level of elderly patients with depression,and improve the quality of daily life of patients.
