Expression of microRNA-93 in patients with mechanical ventilation in-duced lung injury and its clinical significance
Objective To investigate the expression and clinical significance of microRNA-93(miR-93)in mechanical ventilation induced lung injury.Methods Fifty patients with mechanical ventilation lung injury treated in ICU of the First Affiliated Hospital of Gannan Medical College from March 2021 to October 2022 were selected as the observation group,and 100 patients without mechanical ventilation lung injury were selected as the control group,the serum miR-93,tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-1 β(IL-1 β)and interleukin-8(IL-8)were detected in the two groups.Results The relative expression of miR-93 in serum of the observation group was lower than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),while the levels of TNF-α,IL-1 β and IL-8 were higher than that of the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The relative expression of serum miR-93 in patients with severe lung injury in the observation group was lower than that in patients with mild to moderate lung injury,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),while TNF-α,IL-1 β and IL-8 were higher than those in patients with mild to moderate lung injury,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Serum miR-93 was negatively correlated with Murray's lung injury score(r=-0.445,P<0.05).Serum miR-93 was negatively correlated with TNF-α,IL-1 β and IL-8(r=-0.394,-0.405,-4.111,P<0.05).The AUC for diagnosing lung injury with the relative expression of miR-93 was 0.815,the cut-off value was 2.50,and the sensitivity and specificity were 92.00%and 58.00%,respectively.The AUC for diagnosing severe lung injury with the relative expression of miR-93 was 0.823,the cut-off value was 1.72,and the sensitivity and specificity were 66.70%and 84.40%,respectively.Conclusion The expression of serum miR-93 is down regulated in patients with mechanical ventilation lung injury,which is negatively correlated with the severity of lung injury,has certain application value in diagnosing lung injury and its severity.
