Correlation between inflammatory factors, white matter changes and the occurrence of cognitive dysfunction in patients with chronic cerebral cir-culation insufficiency
Objective To study the correlation between inflammatory factors, white matter changes and the occurrence of cognitive dysfunction in patients with chronic cerebral circulation insufficiency(CCCI).Methods A total of 80 patients with CCCI treated in the First People's Hospital of Fuzhou from June 2022 to February 2023 were selected as study objects. The patients'mental state was assessed by the mini-mental state examination(MMSE),and 27 score was taken as the critical point. The total score<27 indicated cognitive dysfunction and was recorded as the observation group(37 cases). The total score ≥ 27 indicated normal cognitive function and was recorded as the control group(43 cases). The Montreal cognitive as-sessment scale(MoCA)score, serum C-reactive protein(CRP),procalcitonin(PCT)levels and age-related white matter change(ARWMC)score of the two groups were compared, and the correlation between serum CRP,PCT,ARWMC and Mo-CA score in the observation group were analyzed. Results The total MoCA score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The level of serum CRP,PCT and ARWMC in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).According to Pearson method, serum CRP,PCT,ARWMC level and MoCA score were negative correlated in the observation group(r=0.651、0.708、0.649,P<0.05).Conclusion Inflammatory factors and white matter changes in CCCI patients are correlated with cognitive dysfunction, and the main manifestations are negative correlation between serum CRP,PCT,AR-WMC score and MoCA score, which is worthy of attention.
