Effect of transcranial magnetic therapy combined with sensory integration training on neurodevelopment and sleep function in children with autism
Objective To explore the effect of transcranial magnetic stimulation(TMS)combined sensory integration training on neurodevelopment and sleep function in children with autism spectrum disorder(ASD).Methods A total of 80 children with ASD admitted to the Children's Care Clinic of Dalian Women and Children's Medical Group from May 2021 to May 2022 were selected as research objects and divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The left dorsolateral prefrontal cortex(DLPEC)was stimulated by TMS therapy instrument in the control group, with each treatment for 20 min, once a day,and continuous treatment for 5 days a week. The observation group was combined with sensory integration training on the basis of control group, sensory integration training 30 min/time,once a day, continuous training for 5 days a week. Both groups were treated for three months.ASD severity, developmental quotient score and behavioral score were evaluated and compared between the two groups before and after treatment, and the incidence of sleep problems was recorded and compared between the two groups. Results There were no significant differences in the scores of children with children autism rating scale(CARS),autism behavior checklist(ABC)and developmental quotient(DQ)between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).The CARS score and ABC score of the two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment, and the DQ scores of the two groups were higher than those before treatment, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).After treatment,CARS score and ABC score in observation group were lower than those in control group,DQ scores were higher than those in control group, and sleep problems were less than those in control group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion TMS combined sensory integration training can effectively reduce the severity of ASD,improve the neurodevelopment and improve the sleep quality of children.
