Progress of traditional Chinese medicine treatment for dry age-related macular degeneration
Dry age-related macular degeneration is the main cause of irreversible central vision impairment and even loss in the elderly.In order to further clarify the advantages and progress of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of this disease,the relevant literature was summarized and sorted out from the aspects of etiology and pathogenesis,syndrome dif-ferentiation and treatment,clinical research and external treatment of traditional Chinese medicine in this study.Traditional Chinese medicine is guided by the holistic concept and dialectical treatment idea,and believes that the disease is character-ized by the deficiency of the essence and the deficiency of the liver,spleen and kidney,the etiology and pathogenesis of the disease is the deficiency of the essence and blood,that is,the deficiency of the liver,spleen and kidney is the foundation,and blood stasis and phlegm are always the standard throughout the disease.The common clinical witness types include de-ficiency of the liver and kidney,weakness of the temper,deficiency of Qi and Yin,and intermingled Chinese medicine has achieved certain advantages,but there are few reports on the multi-target and multi-link mechanism of medicine and exter-nal treatment of traditional Chinese medicine,which provides the research direction for the author and is worth further re-search and exploration on the mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine treatment.
