Objective To explore the clinical effect of moxibustion combined with bisphosphonates therapy on patients with moderate to severe bone metastasis cancer pain. Methods A total of 90 patients with moderate to severe bone metastasis cancer pain admitted to Ganzhou City Cancer Hospital from March 2021 to January 2023 were selected as the study subjects. They were divided into control group(n=30)and study group A(n=30),and study group B(n=30)according to the random number table method. The control group took orally the Oxycodone sustained-release tablets, the study group A was given bisphosphonates treatment on this basis, and the study group B was given moxibustion treatment on the basis of the study group A.The clinical efficacy, analgesic onset and duration, and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results The clinical efficacy of study group B was higher than that of study group A and control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.017).There was no significant difference in the onset time of analgesia among the three groups(P>0.05).The onset time of analgesia in study group B was shorter than that in study group A and the control group, and the duration of analgesia was longer than that in study group A and the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment, there was no statistically significant difference in the quality of life a-mong the three groups of patients(P>0.05).After 4 weeks of treatment, the scores of sleep, daily activities, and mental state in study group B were higher than those in study group A and the control group, and the sleep scores in study group A were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in tbe appetite dimension scores of the quality of life among the three groups of patients(P>0.05).Conclusion Moxibustion combined with bisphosphonates therapy can shorten the onset time of pain relief, prolong the du-ration of pain relief, and improve the quality of life and clinical efficacy of patients with moderate to severe bone metastasis cancer pain.
