Objective To investigate the anesthetic effect of Remifentanil combined with Propofol in elderly patients under-going cholecystectomy. Methods Sixty-six patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy(LC)in Nantong Tongzhou People's Hospital from January 2019 to October 2022 were selected as the study objects, and they were divided into control group and observation group by random number table method, with 33 cases in each group. The control group was anes-thetized by Fentanyl combined with Propofol, and the observation group was anesthetized by Remifentanil combined with Propofol.Hemodynamic indexes(mean arterial pressure[MAP]and heart rate[HR]),stress response indexes(blood glucose and cortisol),recovery time, extubation time and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The MAP and HR levels at the time of tracheal intubation(T1),operation beginning(T2),carbon dioxide(CO2)pneumoperitoneum establishment(T3),gallbladder resection(T4)and operation end(T5)in both groups were higher than those before anesthesia induction(T0),and the indexes in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, with statistical signifi-cances(P<0.05).Postoperative blood glucose and cortisol levels in two groups were higher than those before surgery, but the blood glucose and cortisol levels in observation group were lower than those in control group, the differences were statis-tically significant(P<0.05).The recovery time and extubation time of observation group were shorter than those of control group, and the total incidence of adverse reactions was lower than that of control group, the differences were statistically sig-nificant(P<0.05).Conclusion Remifentanil combined with Propofol has good anesthetic effect in elderly patients with LC,which is conducive to reducing stress response, stabilizing hemodynamics of patients, speeding up postoperative recovery of patients, and has high clinical safety.
