Application effect of traditional Chinese medicine foot bath combined with Simo Decoction in patients with gastrointestinal dysfunction after ce-sarean section
Objective To investigate the application effect of traditional Chinese medicine foot bath combined with Simo Decoction in the recovery of gastrointestinal function after cesarean section.Methods A total of 100 patients with gastroin-testinal dysfunction after cesarean section treated in Maoming Maternal and Child Health Hospital from March 2022 to June 2023 were selected as research objects,and they were divided into the reference group(50 cases)and the experimental group(50 cases)according to random number table method.All patients received postpartum routine intervention,and the refer-ence group received traditional Chinese medicine foot bath therapy,the experimental group received foot bath combined with Simo Decoction.The recovery time of gastrointestinal function index,incidence of puerperal-related diseases,the World Health Organization quality of life(WHOQOL-BREF)score and gastrointestinal function score of the two groups were com-pared.Results After intervention,the recovery time of gastrointestinal function indexes such as bowel sound recovery,exhaust gas,defecation and appetite recovery in experimental group were shorter than those in reference group,and the total inci-dence of puerperal-related diseases and gastrointestinal function scores in experimental group were lower than those in ref-erence group,with statistical significances(P＜0.05).The WHOQOL-BREF scores of experimental group after intervention were higher than those of reference group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion Tradi-tional Chinese medicine foot bath combined with Simo Decoction can improve the gastrointestinal function of the parturients after cesarean section,and also reduce the incidence of puerperal diseases.At the same time,the application of this treatment plan is safe,can improve the quality of life of parturient women,improve their prognosis,and is worthy of clinical application.
