Objective Serotype distribution characteristics, antimicrobial resistance analysis and pulsed-field gel elec-trophoresis(PFGE)molecular traceability analysis were investigated in foodborne Salmonella from Fengcheng City,provid-ing scientific basis for early warning of foodborne disease outbreaks. Methods Salmonella was isolated from food and from patients with diarrhea in Fengxheng City from April 2015 to November 2022,serotype distribution characteristics and drug resistance analysis were investigated in Salmonella, and the evolutionary relationships between strains were analyzed by PFGE.Results A total of 49 strains of Salmonella were detected in 756 food samples and 806 diarrhea samples, the strains of which 38.78%were S.typhimurium and 32.65%were S.enteritidis.Thirty-five of these strains were showed antimicro-bial resistance, the highest resistance was against Ampicillin with 82.86%resistance,the next was against Cefazolin and Nalidixic Acid with 48.57%resistance.Thirty strains(30/35,85.71%)were found to be resistant to multiple antibiotics.Ho-mologies between 55.4%and 100.0%were observed among the 49 Salmonella strains. Conclusion S.typhimurium and S.enteritidis were isolated from foodborne in Fengcheng City as the main strains, drug resistance and multiple drug resistance are considered serious, drug resistance and multiple drug resistance are serious, the regulation of antibiotic should be strengthened.High homology of Salmonella was showed in DNA fingerprinting. The daily monitoring of PFGE should be strengthened to provide early warning for food safety risks of Salmonella.
