Influence of traditional Chinese medicine fumigation and sit-bath com-bined with dialectical care on postoperative pain and recovery of children with perianal abscess
Objective To investigate the effect of traditional Chinese medicine fumigation and sit-bath combined with dialectical care on postoperative pain and recovery of children with perianal abscess. Methods A total of 80 infants and young children with perianal abscess admitted to Ganzhou Women and Children's Health Care Hospital from January 2020 to December 2022 were selected as the research objects, and they were divided into observation group(n=40)and control group(n=40)according to random number table method. Both groups received dialectical care, and the observation group was treated with traditional Chinese medicine fumigation and sit-bath intervention. The postoperative pain changes and rehabilitation effects were compared between the two groups. Results The visual analogue scale(VAS)scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group at 24 and 72 h after operation, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The wound healing time and rotting meat shedding time in observation group were shorter than those in control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After intervention, the levels of inflammatory cytokines interleukin-6(IL-6),interleukin-8(IL-8)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)in observation group were lower than those in control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The satisfaction of family members of children in observation group was higher than that in control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The use of traditional Chinese medicine fumigation and sit-bath combined with dialectical care to intervene in children with perianal abscess is helpful to alleviate postoperative pain, shorten the time of wound healing, improve the inflammatory response of the body, and bring more quality clinical nursing services for children.
