Reprogramming of energy metabolism is one of the most significant characteristics of tumor cells, which gives tu-mor cells the ability to rapidly proliferate, mainly reflected in the abnormal metabolism of the"three major nutrients",name-ly glucose, amino acids and fatty acids.Among them, amino acids, second only to glucose as a source of nutrients and energy inside the cell, are substrates for protein synthesis. The abundant supply of amino acids provides continuous impetus for the rapid growth of tumors. Some of the key substances in the abnormal metabolism of amino acids affect the occurrence and de-velopment of tumor cells, participate in many aspects such as oncogene activation, immune escape and related protein ex-pression,and are also used as one of the markers for tumor diagnosis and treatment in clinical practice. However, tumor cells have different dependence on different amino acids, especially in tumors with specific amino acid deficiency. Therefore, the deficiency of specific amino acids may have an important impact on the occurrence, development, treatment and prognosis of tumors. In this paper, the progress of amino acid metabolic reprogramming in the development of tumor in recent years is re-viewed,in order to provide new ideas for the follow-up scientific research and clinical diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of cancer.
