In the clinical treatment of oral cavity, the measurement and analysis of occlusal function played an important role in the treatment. However, previous method to measure occlusal state was subjectively affected by dentists, which was not accurate and could not be quantified. Many studies show that the T-Scan occlusal analysis system could accurately measure the real-time relationship between bite force and time under different occlusal conditions, accurately record the occlusal contact time, force and area, and dynamically analyze the occlusal contact. In the treatment of various oral diseases such as temporomandibular joint disorders, orthodontics, orthognathia, repair and implantation, periodontal disease, the system assisted clinicians to perform accurate and targeted occlusal diagnosis and adjustment, and reduced the occurrence of occlusal complications through predictable and numerical measurement of treatment outcome evaluation, and achieved good treatment effect. The quantitative data of the system could be displayed in a visual way, which could promote the communication between doctors and patients to the greatest extent and meet the needs of clinical treatment of modern oral diseases. This paper summarizes the characteristics of T-Scan occlusal analysis system and its application in dental practice.
