Meta-analysis of Brucea javanica Oil Emulsion Injection combining Navelbine plus Cisplatin/Carboplatin chemotherapy in the clinical efficacy and safety of non-small cell lung cancer
Objective To systematically evaluate the clinical efficacy of Brucea javanica Oil Emulsion Injection combining Navelbine plus Cisplatin/Carboplatin(NP)chemotherapy in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Meth-ods CNKI,SinoMed,VIP,WanFang Data,the Cochrane Library,PubMed and Embase databases were searched.Ran-domized controlled trials of Brucea javanica Oil Emulsion Injection combined with NP chemotherapy in the treatment of NSCLC were searched from the establishment of the database to May 22,2023.Two reviewers independently screened the literature,extracted data,and assessed the risk of bias of the included studies.Then,meta-analysis and publication bias test was performed by using RevMan 5.4.1and Stata 15.1 softwares.Results A total of 12 randomized controlled trials were included,with 801 patients.The result showed that,compared with only NP chemotherapy,Brucea javanica Oil Emulsion Injection combining NP chemotherapy could improve the clinical benefit rate(RR=2.00,95％CI=1.34-2.98,P=0.000 6),total improvement rate of symptoms(RR=1.53,95％CI=1.19-1.96,P=0.000 9)and the term of perfor-mance status(RR=2.58,95％CI=1.95-3.41,P＜0.000 01),reduce the incidence of leukopenia(RR=0.73,95％CI=0.62-0.86,P＜0.000 1).Conclusion Compared with only NP chemotherapy,Brucea javanica Oil Emulsion Injection combining NP chemotherapy in the treatment of NSCLC can significantly improve the clinical benefit rate,total improvement rate of symptoms,performance status,and reduce the incidence of leukopenia in patients.However,the onclusions of this study need to be confirmed by more well-designed,multi-center,large-sample sizes,and randomized controlled trails.
