Relationship between cognitive dysfunction and impaired attention func-tion in stroke patients
Objective To explore the relationship between cognitive dysfunction and attention of patients with stroke pa-tients.Methods From July 2021 to March 2022,30 stroke patients who met the inclusion criteria in the Rehabilitation De-partment of Liaocheng People's Hospital were selected as the research objects.According to the MMSE score, they were divided into the cognitive impairment group(15 cases)and the non cognitive impairment group(15 cases). In addition,15 healthy people who had health examination in the hospital during the same period were selected as the control group, and the digital breadth test(straight back, backward back)five attention function checks were conducted in the symbolic digit modalities test and the trail making test(A and B).Results The non cognitive impairment group showed better results in number breadth,back-to-back scores, symbol digit modalities test, and the time of trail making test A and trail making test B compared to the cognitive impairment group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).The control group showed better results in terms of digit breadth,back-to-back scores, symbol digit modalities test, and the time of trail making test A and trail making test B compared to the cognitive impairment group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).There were no statistically significant differences between the non cognitive impairment group and the control group in the scores of digit breadth backtracking, trail making test A,and symbol digit modalities test(P>0.05).However,the control group had better time results in digit breadth backtracking and trail making test B than the non cognitive impairment group, with a statistically significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion Stroke patients have begun to appear attention to functional damage when cognitive function screening is not abnormal.
