Application effect of traceability system in the management of foreign in-struments
Objective To explore the application effect of traceability system in the management of foreign instruments.Methods A total of 150 foreign devices treated by the central sterile supply department(CSSD)of Ji'an Central Hospital(Shanghai Oriental Hospital Ji'an Hospital)(hereinafter referred to as"our hospital")from January 2021 to November 2022 were selected as the study objects,and 75 foreign devices treated by our hospital from January to December 2021 were se-lected as the control group,the 75 foreign devices handled by our hospital from January to November 2022 were selected as the observation group.The control group was administered by conventional external instruments,observation group imple-mented traceability system management processing.The qualification rate,the occurrence of foreign device errors and the management ability of the two groups were compared.Results After intervention,the qualified rate of packaging,cleaning and disinfection in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).The total incidence of foreign device errors in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The scores of nursing staffs equipment management ability,risk identification ability,risk prevention consciousness and environmental management ability in observation group were higher than those in control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion The application of traceability system in the management of foreign instruments can not only improve the qualification rate and reduce the occurrence of instrument errors,but also improve the management ability of nursing staff,make the transfer of foreign instru-ments with operating room nurses more efficient,and improve the management and use safety of foreign instruments.
