Application effect of failure mode and effect analysis in the patients after endoscopic selective varices devascularization for esophageal and gastric varices
Objective To investigate the application effect of failure mode and effect analysis in the patients after endoscop-ic selective varices devascularization(ESVD)for esophageal and gastric varices.Methods A total of 101 patients with esophageal and gastric varices after ESVD admitted to Jiujiang University Affiliated Hospital from January to November 2022 were selected as the study objects,and they were divided into control group(50 cases)and observation group(51 cases)by random number table method.The control group received routine nursing intervention,and the observation group re-ceived nursing intervention guided by failure mode and effect analysis.The duration of hospital stay,complication rate,satisfaction rate,pain(numerical rating scale[NRS])and emotional state(self-rating anxiety scale[SAS]and self-rating de-pression scale[SDS])before and after nursing intervention were compared between the two groups.Results The duration of hospital stay in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group,the total complication rate was lower than that in the control group,and the satisfaction rate was higher than that in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).There were no significant differences in NRS,SAS and SDS score between the two groups before nurs-ing intervention(P＞0.05).The NRS,SAS and SDS score of the observation group at 1,3,5 d of nursing intervention were lower than those of the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion The applica-tion of failure mode and effect analysis in patients with esophageal and gastric varices after ESVD has a good effect,which can shorten the duration of hospital stay of patients and reduce the incidence of complications,and also has a good effect on the pain and adverse emotions of patients,which is more recognized by patients.
