Application of online video education combined with peer assistance mod-el in postoperative rehabilitation of children with supracondylar fracture of humerus
Objective To investigate the clinical value of online video education combined with peer assistance mode inter-vention in children with supracondylar fracture of humerus after operation. Methods Sixty children with supracondylar frac-ture of humerus who received surgical treatment in Jiangxi Provincial Children's Hospital from January to December 2022 were selected as the study objects, and they were divided into control group and observation group according to random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. The control group received conventional orthopedic surgical care.On the basis of routine orthopedic nursing, the children in the observation group received online video education combined with peer support mode.Visual analogue scale(VAS)scores, treatment compliance and parental satisfaction were compared be-tween the two groups after nursing intervention. Results The VAS score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total treatment compliance rate in observation group was higher than that in control group, and the total satisfaction of family members in observation group was higher than that in control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Children with supracondylar fracture of humerus who undergo surgical treatment can receive online video education combined with peer assistance intervention, which can alleviate their pain, improve treatment compliance and parental satisfaction simultaneously, and achieve more ideal results. It can be widely promoted and applied in future work, and more children can benefit from it.
