Comparison of the diagnostic value of conventional CT scanning and CT enterography in small intestinal tumors
Objective To analyze the diagnostic value of conventional CT scanning and CT enterography in small intestinal tumors. Methods Thirty-five patients with suspected small intestine tumor in Xingguo Hospital,Gannan Medical College from November 2019 to October 2021 were selected as the study objects. The result of pathological examination was the gold standard. The accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value of 128-slice spiral CT and 128-slice spiral CT were compared in the diagnosis of small intestine tumors, and the detection rates of the two methods for different types of small intestine tumors were compared. Results Pathological examination results showed that 32 cases were positive and 3 cases were negative among 35 suspected patients with small intestine tumor disease.Among the 32 posi-tive patients,15 cases of small intestinal lipoma,12 cases of small intestinal leiomyoma,5 cases of adenoma. The diagnostic accuracy and sensitivity of conventional CT scan were 71.43%and 75.00%respectively,and CT small intestine contrast was higher than conventional CT scan, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value of CT enterography were 100.00%,96.88%and 66.67%respectively.The specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value of conventional CT scan were 50.00%,88.89%and 12.50%respec-tively.There was no significant difference between the two methods(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in the de-tection rate of different types of small intestine tumor between the two methods(P>0.05).Conclusion For patients with small intestinal tumors,CT enterography has higher accuracy and sensitivity compared to conventional CT scanning, and has significant diagnostic efficacy.
