Effect of Huanglian Shangqing Capsule combined with Tinidazole on peri-odontal symptoms and gingival crevicular fluid inflammatory factors in patients with chronic periodontitis
Objective To explore the effects of Huanglian Shangqing Capsule combined with Tinidazole on periodontal symptoms and gingival crevicular fluid inflammatory factors in patients with chronic periodontitis. Methods A total of 80 pa-tients with chronic periodontitis admitted to Nanjing Lishui District Stomatological Disease Prevention and Control Hospital from June 2021 to June 2023 were selected as the research objects. They were divided into control group(40 cases)and ob-servation group(40 cases)according to random number table method. The control group was treated with Tinidazole, and the observation group was treated with Huanglian Shangqing Capsule combined with Tinidazole. The therapeutic effect,peri-odontal indexes, gingival crevicular fluid inflammatory factor levels(lactoferrin[LF],soluble intercellular adhesion molecule-1[sICAM-1],interleukin-8[IL-8],tumor necrosis factor-α[TNF-α])and adverse drug reaction were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the differ-ence was statistically significant(P<0.05).The levels of periodontal indexes and inflammatory factors were no significant differences between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).The levels of periodontal indexes and inflammatory factors in two groups after treatment were lower than those before treatment, and the observation group was lower than the control group, with statistically significant(P<0.05).There were no obvious adverse reactions occurring in both groups. Conclusion Huanglian Shangqing Capsule combined with Tinidazole in the treatment of chronic periodontitis patients can improve peri-odontal symptoms, reduce inflammation, and do not cause obvious adverse reactions, clinical application is safe and reliable.
