Analysis of the level of sense of meaningfulness of life and its related in-fluencing factors after laparoscopic radical surgery for elderly patients with prostate cancer
Objective To analyze the level of life meaningfulness and its related influencing factors after laparoscopic radi-cal surgery for elderly patients with prostate cancer.Methods A total of 80 elderly patients with prostate cancer who under-went laparoscopic radical surgery from February 2018 to September 2022 in Jiu Jiang NO.1 People's Hospital were selected as research objects.The level of their sense of life significance after surgery was evaluated using the meaning in life ques-tionnaire(MLQ).The relevant data of the patients were investigated,and the level of their sense of life significance was com-pared with different data.The relevant influencing factors of the level of their sense of life significance after laparoscopic radical surgery for prostate cancer in elderly patients were analyzed.Results The MLQ scores of 80 elderly prostate cancer patients after laparoscopic radical surgery was(35.68±3.85)point,and the level of patients'sense of meaningful life was low.The results of univariate analysis showed that there were statistically significant differences when comparing the MLQ scores of elderly prostate cancer patients after laparoscopic radical surgery with different total religious beliefs,psychological status,family care degree,and post-traumatic growth level(P<0.05);by Multiple linear regression analysis,the results showed that no religious belief(B=-11.276,β=-0.743,95%CI:-13.567-8.985,t=9.799),poor psychological status(B=-10.912,β=-0.713,95%CI:-13.330-8.495,t=8.988),family care level impairment(B=-9.128,β=-0.618,95%CI:-13.843-4.412,t=3.856),and low level of post-traumatic growth(B=-11.270,[3=-0.748,95%CI:-13.526-9.014,t=9.944)were the factors of sense of meaningfulness of life after radical laparoscopic surgery in elderly patients with prostate cancer level(P<0.05).Conclusion The lower level of sense of meaningfulness of life after radical laparoscopic surgery in elderly patients with prostate cancer was influenced by factors such as religious beliefs,psychological status,degree of family care,and level of post-traumatic growth.
