Objective To analyze the characteristics of quantitative electroencephalogram in patients with Alzheimer's dis-ease(AD)and mild cognitive impairment(MCI),and to explore the utility of quantitative electroencephalogram in early de-tection and assessment of cognitive decline. Methods In this study,AD patients,MCI patients and the elderly with normal cognitive function were selected as the research objects.64-lead electroencephalogram was used to record electroen-cephalogram signals at rest state, and weighted phase lag index(wPLI)was used to analyze the difference of functional con-nectivity in the whole brain of enrolled patients. Results The relative power of AD group was higher than that of control group in θ band, but lower than that of control group in β band.In addition, functional connections between the three groups were different. In the θ and δ bands, the phase synchronization between different brain regions in AD group were enhanced. In the α band, the functional connections between local brain regions were weakened in AD group. At the same time, the average phase power of the whole brain electrodes in θ and β bands were correlated with the clinical cognitive assessment scale. Conclusion Quantitative electroencephalogram analysis showed that the frequency of brain wave in AD patients was moderated. In addition,AD patients have functional compensation and disconnection of cortical neural path-ways in the brain network.
