Value of small and dense low-density lipoprotein and homocysteine in the risk assessment of cerebral infarction and the correlation between the de-gree of carotid atherosclerosis
Objective To investigate the application value of small and dense low-density lipoprotein(dsLDL)and homo-cysteine(Hcy)in the risk assessment of cerebral infarction.Methods Ninety-one patients with cerebral infarction who un-derwent carotid artery color Doppler ultrasound examination in the Yangjiang Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from August 2022 to July 2023 were selected as the study objects,and 91 healthy subjects were selected during the same period.Serum levels of sdLDL and Hcy were compared between the two groups to analyze the diagnostic efficacy of serum levels of sdLDL and Hcy.To analyze the correlation between the serum levels of sdLDL and Hcy and the degree of carotid atherosclerosis in patients with cerebral infarction.Results The serum levels of sdLDL 和 Hcy in patients with cerebral in-farction were higher than those in healthy people,and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).The combined detection of sdLDL and Hey has a good diagnostic efficacy in patients with cerebral infarction,with an AUC of 0.98,a sensitivity of 96.5％,and a specificity of 90.5％.There were positive correlations between the degree of carotid artery lesion and the levels of sdLDL and Hcy in cerebral infarction patients(P＜0.05).Conclusion SdLDL and Hcy have important ap-plication value in the risk assessment of cerebral infarction,can assess the degree of carotid atherosclerosis in patients with cerebral infarction.
