Objective To analyze the application situation and development trend of oral proton pump inhibitor(PPI)in in-patients and evaluate the rationality of clinical PPI drug use.Methods The PPI usage data of Xiamen Branch,Zhongshan Hospital,Fudan University(hereinafter referred to as"the Hospital")in the hospital information management system from January to June 2023 were collected to obtain PPI varieties,specifications,annual total delivery and annual total sales amount,etc.The adult defined daily dose(DDD),defined daily dose system(DDDs),and defined daily dose cost(DDC)rec-ommended by the World Health Organization(WHO)were used for statistical analysis,and the ranking ratio was used for retrospective analysis.Results Rabeprazole Sodium Enteric-coated Tablets dominated the use.The price and frequency of Rabeprazole Sodium Enteric-coated Tablets from different manufacturers were different.Esomeprazole Magnesium Enter-ic-coated Capsules was the second most frequently used and the price was superior.The frequency of Lansoprazole Enter-ic-coated Capsules was the least.The synchronicity of the amount of medication and the frequency of medication was gener-ally good.Conclusion The use of oral proton pump inhibitors in the hospital's inpatient pharmacy from January to June 2023 was reasonable and the selection was in line with the norm.
