Objective To study the application effect of situation-background-assessment-recommendation(SBAR)com-munication mode in nursing bedside shift in post anesthesia care unit(PACU).Methods A total of 300 general anesthesia patients who were resuscitated from the anesthesia recovery room of Luoyang Central Hospital from March to August 2022 were selected as the study objects.150 patients admitted to PACU from March to May 2022 were selected as control group,and 150 patients admitted to PACU from June to August 2022 were selected as observation group.The control group was handed over orally and conventionally,the observation group was adopted the SBAR communication mode handover method for normative handover.The incidence of handover adverse events,postoperative complications and the score of the Chinese version of the nurse shift assessment scale were compared between the two groups.Results After the implementation of SBAR communication mode handover,the incidence of adverse events and postoperative complications after general anes-thesia in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).The score of the Chinese version of nurse shift assessment scale score was higher than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion SBAR communication mode has high application value in the nursing bedside transition in the PACU,which can further standardize the nursing bedside transition in the PACU,improve the quality of nursing staff handover work,reduce the incidence of postoperative complications of patients,and is worthy of promotion and application.
