With the rapid advancement of the Internet and smart devices,telemedicine has become extensively utilized and plays a crucial role in the diagnosis and treatment of hypertension.Various wearable devices have been employed for remote monitoring of blood pressure.Through the telemedicine platform,patients can be remotely managed with integrated blood pressure management.In comparison to the traditional outpatient follow-up model,the integrated remote blood pressure management model offers advantages such as reduced treatment costs,improved compliance,and enhanced blood pressure control.However,there are still some drawbacks to remote blood pressure monitoring,including concerns regarding priva-cy and security,inadequate legal policies,and the high cost associated with using the system platform.This article reviews the epidemiology of hypertension,telemedicine model,application and development prospect of remote blood pressure monitoring.
