Objective To investigate the clinical effect of acupoint catgut embedding combined with standardized anti aller-gic treatment for chronic urticaria. Methods A total of 100 patients with chronic urticaria in Qiqihar Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from May 2022 to May 2023 were selected as research subjects and divided into control group and treat-ment group by random number table method, with 50 patients in each group.Patients in the control group received stan-dardized anti-sensitivity therapy, and patients in the treatment group received acupoint catgut embedding combined with standardized anti-sensitivity therapy. The symptom and sign score, clinical effective rate, serum immune factor index level, total incidence of adverse reactions and recurrence rate were compared between the two groups. Results The itch degree score, wind group severity score,interleukin-4(IL-4),immunoglobulin E(IgE)after treatment, total incidence of adverse reactions and disease recurrence rate in observation group were lower than those in control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total effective rate and the expression level of interferon-γ(INF-γ)after treatment in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Adopting acupoint catgut embedding combined with standardized anti allergic therapy for chronic urticaria can improve patients'clinical symptoms and signs, improve serum immune factor expression levels, reduce disease recurrence rate and incidence of adverse reactions. The clinical safety and effectiveness are high, and it is worth recommending.
