Objective To explore the application effect of continuous nursing based on Omaha system in patients with blad-der cancer undergoing urostomy. Methods From September 2022 to June 2023,a total of 48 patients with bladder cancer who were admitted to the Affiliated Hospital of Youjiang Medical University for Nationalities were selected as the study sub-jects.They were divided into the control group(24 cases)and the observation group(24 cases)according to random number table method. The patients in the control group received routine care, while the patients in the observation group received continuous nursing based on the Omaha system. Both groups received continuous nursing observation for 3 months. The psychological status, supportive care needs, incidence of complications, and quality of life between two groups of patients were compared. Results The scores of self-rating anxiety scale(SAS)and self-rating depression scale(SDS)of the observa-tion group after nursing were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The supportive care needs survey short-form-34(SCNS-SF34)score and quality of life score of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total incidence of complications in the observation group(8.33%)was lower than that in the control group(33.33%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Continuous nursing based on Omaha system can provide the corresponding care needs for bladder cancer patients with urostomy, effectively reduce the negative emotions of patients, reduce the inci-dence of complications, and improve the quality of life of patients.
