With the development of global population aging,healthy aging is receiving increasing attention.Heart failure with preserved ejection fraction(HFpEF)is the most common subtype of heart failure in the elderly,with a high morbidity.While frailty is an age-related geriatric syndrome that can exacerbate the occurrence and development of cardiovascular diseases in the elderly.They are heterogeneous syndromes involving multiple system dysfunction,with an increasing prevalence with age,and there is no clear treatment.Moreover,frailty will significantly affect the risk and prognosis of old HFpEF patients,and bring a heavier disease burden to them.As early frailty is dynamic and reversible,early screening,identification and intervention of frailty is of great significance for the comprehensive management of old HFpEF patients.Current studies have found that HFpEF and frailty have similar risk factors and pathophysiological mechanisms.An in-depth study of the correlation between HFpEF and frailty is helpful for clinical evaluation and intervention.
