Expression changes of human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 and epithelial growth factor receptor in the patients with human papilloma virus related cervical adenocarcinoma and correlation with clinicopatho-logical characteristics
Objective To explore the expression changes of human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2)and epithe-lial growth factor receptor(EGFR)in human papilloma virus(HPV)related cervical adenocarcinoma and their correlation with clinicopathological characteristics. Methods A total of 120 patients with HPV related cervical adenocarcinoma from January 2016 to June 2023 in Ganzhou Women and Children's Health Care Hospital were selected as the observation group, and 40 patients with chronic cervicitis were selected as the control group. The expression of HER2 and EGFR in the tissues of the two groups were compared, and the test results of patients with different ages, silva classification,FIGO stage, histological grade, lymph node metastasis, vascular involvement and vaginal wall involvement in the observation group were compared.Spearman correlation was used to analyze the relationship between the expression of HER2 and EGFR and the clinicopathological characteristics of HPV related cervical adenocarcinoma. Results The positive expression rates of HER2 and EGFR in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).There were significant differences in the positive rate of HER2 among different silva classification,FI-GO stage, histological grade, lymph node metastasis, vascular and vaginal wall involvement(P<0.05).There were significant differences in EGFR positive rates between silva type C and other types, different FIGO stages, lymph node metastasis,vas-cular and vaginal wall involvement in the observation group(P<0.05).Correlation analysis showed that the expression of HER2 in HPV related cervical adenocarcinoma was correlated with silva classification,FIGO stage, histological grade, lymph node metastasis, vascular and vaginal wall involvement(P<0.05).EGFR expression was correlated with silva classi-fication,FIGO stage, lymph node metastasis, vascular and vaginal wall involvement(P<0.05).Conclusion HER2 and EGFR are highly expressed in HPV related cervical adenocarcinoma and HER2 expression is related to silva classification,FIGO stage, histological grade, lymph node metastasis, vascular and vaginal involvement.EGFR expression is related to silva classification,FIGO stage, lymph node metastasis, vascular and vaginal involvement, and has high detection value in patients with this disease.
