Objective To explore the effect of acupoint application of traditional Chinese medicine on gastrointestinal reac-tion caused by chemotherapy of cervical cancer.Methods A total of sixty cervical cancer patients admitted to the Depart-ment of Gynecological Oncology,Jiujiang Third People's Hospital from June 2022 to May 2023 were selected as the study objects.They were divided into control group(30 cases)and treatment group(30 cases)according to the random number table method.The control group patients were treated with routine nursing methods,the patients in the treatment group were given traditional Chinese medicine acupoint patches on the basis of the treatment of the control group.The toxic side effects,gastrointestinal intervention effects,and quality of life between two groups were compared.Results The gastrointestinal re-sponse of the treatment group patients on the last day of chemotherapy was lower than that of the control group,with a statis-tically significant difference(P<0.05).The intervention effect on gastrointestinal reactions in the treatment group was better than that in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The psychological function,physical function,social function,common symptoms and adverse reactions,psychological burden,and total score of the the quality of life instrument for cervical cancer patients(QLICP-CE)cervical cancer scale system for cancer patients in the treatment group on the last day of chemotherapy were higher than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically sig-nificant(P<0.05).Conclusion Acupoint application of traditional Chinese medicine can effectively reduce the gastroin-testinal reactions caused by chemotherapy in cervical cancer,has a reliable preventive effect on related toxic and side ef-fects,and can actively alleviate the degree of toxic and side effects in patients,so as to improve the quality of life of patients.
