Nursing intervention of Sihuangmi traditional Chinese medicine rubbing combined with traditional Chinese medicine fumigation and washing in postoperative limb swelling
Objective To explore the nursing effect of Sihuangmi traditional Chinese medicine application combined with traditional Chinese medicine fumigation and washing on postoperative limb swelling after limb fracture surgery.Methods Sixty patients with postoperative limb swelling after limb fracture surgery admitted to Pingxiang Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from June 2021 to January 2023 were selected as the research subjects.They were randomly divided into a control group(30 cases)and an observation group(30 cases)using random number table method.The control group was treated with traditional Chinese medicine fumigation and washing of the affected limbs.On the basis of the control group,the observation group was treated with self-made Sihuangmi and applied with traditional Chinese medicine.Limb swelling de-gree,pain score,swelling relief time,pain relief time and nursing satisfaction were compared between the two groups.Re-sults The limb swelling degree scores and pain scores of the two groups at 1,3 and 5 days after intervention were lower than those before intervention,and the limb swelling degree scores of the observation group were lower than those of the control group,with statistical significances(P＜0.05).The duration of swelling relief and pain relief in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).The total nursing satisfaction of the observation group was higher than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusions The combination of Sihuangmi traditional Chinese medicine application and traditional Chinese medicine fu-migation has a significant nursing effect on limb swelling after limb fracture surgery,which can be attributed to the degree of limb swelling and pain score of patients,shortening the time for swelling and pain relief,and improving patient nursing sat-isfaction.
