Objective To evaluate the effect of modified nursing pants on the comfort of patients with indwelling catheter in bed.Methods A total of 124 bedridden patients who needed catheterization and indwelling catheterization in the Fuzhou Eighth Hospital from July to December 2022 were selected as the study objects,with 62 cases in each group.The patients in the control group were treated with uniform pants for general patients in hospital,and the patients in the observation group were treated with special pants for patients with improved indwelling catheter.The comfort degree and cooperation degree of the two groups were compared,the adverse events of ureter fixation(ureter folding,ureter pollution,urine extravasation,pulling and pulling the tube off)and the pressure of skin and mucosa(urethra mucosa swelling,thigh impression)were compared between the two groups.Results The comfort score of observation group was higher than that of control group after wearing modified nursing pants for 1 week,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The nursing cooperation evaluation results of the observation group after wearing the modified nursing pants for 1 week were better than those of the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).The incidence of adverse events and skin and mucosa compression during urinary catheter wearing in the observation group were lower than that in the control group,with statistical significances(P＜0.05).Conclusion The application of improved nursing pants can improve the comfort degree of patients and enhance the cooperation degree of clinical nursing operation for patients lying in bed during urethral catheterization and indwelling urethral catheterization,at the same time,it is beneficial to reduce the occurrence of adverse reactions during catheterization and indwelling catheterization,and is of great significance to the bedridden patients during catheterization and indwelling catheterization.
