Cardiorenal syndrome(CRS)refers to the simultaneous acute or chronic dysfunction of the heart and kidney,re-sulting in a series of chain reactions and mutual damage to the heart and kidneys, with high morbidity and mortality.Cur-rently,there are mainly 5 types of CRS in clinical practice, and different CRS have different pathogenic mechanisms and great differences in phenotypes.Despite significant advances in basic research and integrated management of heart failure(HF)and chronic kidney disease(CKD)in recent years, representative randomized controlled landmark studies in CRS are insufficient, and the treatment of these patients is mainly inferred from the corresponding HF or CKD trials. There is no ef-fective treatment for CRS.With the advancement of healthcare technology and aging population,CRS has received increas-ing attention, and it is increasingly important to conduct the best assessment and management of CRS patients according to the latest research results. This article reviews the latest research results at home and abroad, and reviews the latest progress in the diagnosis, pathogenesis and clinical treatment of CRS.
